This is the website of John Ferrington, VK6HZ. I have been a licensed Amateur (Ham) Radio hobbyist for over 20 years now and I enjoy all aspects of radio. As this website evolves, I will add more radio related info.

 Apart from my passion (obsession) for Amateur Radio, I also enjoy photography. All of the pics on this website have been taken by me.  I usually take a camera with me where ever I go!

Rottnest Island (OC-164) 2007/2008: - Update January 2008

The 2008 dates are: March 26 to April 4.

I will be on Rottnest Is for the 2008 CQ WPX Contest! And yes, I do plan to be active during this contest. All pre contest activity will be on the WARC bands and RTTY and maybe CW.

Whats new?

Work has been consuming a lot of time lately, along with a few business ventures, so radio has had to take back seat for a while. I am spending more and more time playing music again. Something I love to do! I have blown the dust of the old guitars and now have them out in front of me....

Have started to build a Stratocaster using genuine Fender parts. It will be a 1972 re-issue model in white. WIll put some pics up here once the project has been finished!
